Robert Cha is a California-licensed American architect, artist, author. His recent work demonstrates a symbiosis of
craft + AI.
Cha holds a Master of Architecture from Princeton University (Fellowship) and a Bachelor of Architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture, SCI-Arc (Best Thesis). He has exhibited at the 11th Venice Architecture Biennale and published in Spots in Shots (2018) and the Architectural Design (AD) journal, Vol. 96.2 (Axiomatic Editions, 2026). His 2024 book, AI Sapien: Variations on Architecture and the Future (ORO Editions), won the A+D Museum Design Award and is held in over 60 premier institutional libraries worldwide, including The Getty Research Institute and multiple Ivy League collections.
He has led major built projects from schematic design through construction administration, notably serving as the designer and project architect for the Caltech Center for Autonomous Systems Technology (CAST) at CO. Cha also practiced at:
